Tickets are now on sale for the much-anticipated Be Inspired Business Awards (BIBAs) ceremony, which returns to the Blackpool Tower Ballroom in September this year, and are expected to sell-out quickly.
The BIBAs, known as ‘the one they all want to win’ and organised by the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, is the most prestigious business awards competition in Lancashire, recognising the outstanding achievements of organisations of all types, sizes and sectors.
The awards ceremony will take place on Friday 15th September at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom, where guests can expect an evening of celebration, entertainment, and networking. Every year the event promises to be bigger and better, and 2023 is no exception according to Babs Murphy, chief executive of the Chamber.
She said: “We are thrilled to announce that the BIBAs ceremony is back for 2023, and we cannot wait to celebrate the very best of Lancashire’s businesses. After another challenging year, it’s more important than ever to recognise the amazing resilience and achievements of our business community.
“This year’s ceremony will mark the conclusion of an exhaustive nine month search to find the best of the best, at an event where some of our finalists will realise their ambition to win an award in the BIBAs in front of more than a thousand of their peers, making it a night of dreams.
“Not only will we be announcing the winners, we’ll also be serving-up a mouthwatering banquet and some top-class entertainment set to trump previous ceremonies and make this our best so far.”
In the past, entertainment has been provided by Blue, Jason Donovan, Russell Watson, Peter Andre, Tony Hadley, Heather Small, Paul Young, Westlife/Boyzone and Lulu.
MHA Moore and Smalley accountants, one of the sponsors of the BIBAs, also shared their excitement about the upcoming event. Danny Houghton said: “As a long-standing supporter of the BIBAs, we are delighted to be sponsoring the awards again this year.
“Somewhat uniquely, the BIBAs are a not-for-profit endeavour, unlike many other business awards competitions, which makes them truly exceptional and very much aligned with our values.
“They provide an amazing platform for businesses, business leaders and their teams to showcase their successes, network with peers, and celebrate the incredible achievements of the whole Lancashire business community. We look forward to seeing everyone there and wish all the eventual finalists the best of luck.”
The BIBAs ceremony will see awards handed out in 20 categories, including Small Business of the Year, Manufacturer of the Year, Family Business of the Year, and more. Judged by more than 100 local business leaders who volunteer their time to help find the county’s top contenders, the competition is known for its rigour.
The first round of interviews is now underway for entrants that made the shortlist, with the judges going on to visit them at their own places of work over the summer.

Babs added: “We encourage everyone to get their tickets early, as they really do sell-out quickly every year.”
