Applying for a BIBA is just the start of a journey which could transform your business – and lead to the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom.
As finalists for the past few years, it’s a journey Becketts are enjoying.
The winners of last year’s Professional Service Business of the Year saw the awards as a platform to celebrate their team’s hard work and found themselves as triple finalists in 2023.
Andrew Walsh, operations manager at the Poulton-based firm, said: “We were keen to enter again as we knew we were close to winning a category. It is also a wonderful opportunity learn from other businesses, meet with them, as well as and gain recognition for our achievements.
“Engaging with the judges, tackling posing questions and receiving their feedback, certainly keeps us honest and that we can talk about our business successes confidently face to face.
Go on then, what about the “big night”?
” The venue and décor set up by the Chamber is always stunning – even on repeated attendances these past few years. The atmosphere, calibre of businesses attending, as well as the party atmosphere certainly make it a great evening.
“The experience is not just about winning; it’s a challenge as to whether we can stay true to our continual improvement philosophy – can we advance our application again and talk about new achievements and initiatives since our last entry? The BIBAs have become a significant milestone in the business’ calendar!”
