Winning a BIBA comes with more than just a trophy – it allows businesses to take a proper look at themselves.
This was very much the case with last years Employer of the Year, Clifton Home Care, who’s win has allowed them to involve their staff more in the running of the business.
“We have involved our team more in the financial planning side of the business,” says managing director, Caroline Cosh, “helping the key managers understand the need to monitor our business hours, income and spend. We had already started this journey but 12 months on all the key managers have a much greater understanding of this – which is helpful.”
This was the second win for Clifton, having scooped New Business of the Year in 2013 and a decade on, the feeling of winning a BIBA was even better.
Caroline added: “Never in a million years did I think we would win Employer of the Year.
“Given that we are competing against businesses from a wide variety of sectors and the challenges social care has faced with regards recruitment and retention over recent years. It is fair to say all our team were immensely proud and extremely happy.”
