The Be Inspired Business Awards, The BIBAs, has appointed Blackpool-based Campbell and Rowley to cater its ceremony which will take place at the Blackpool Tower later this year.
It has also appointed Preston florist Margaret Mason for table arrangements, Blackpool firm Asets to provide flooring and Lytham’s Majestic Wines for wine and champagne.
Babs Murphy, chief executive of the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce which hosts the awards, said it had spent more than £150,000 with local businesses for a number of years.
She said: “The BIBAs has always supported Lancashire businesses when it comes to supplying our awards ceremony and this year will be no different.
“These are just the first suppliers we have appointed, however, we are also looking for a wide range of other companies from audio-visual specialists to security.
“The BIBAs has always put its money where its mouth is when it comes to spending with local firms spending more than £150,000 for a number of years and we will do it again in 2021.”
The awards has 19 prizes open for entries with categories for businesses of all sectors and sizes with the application window schedule to close on Friday, April 30.
This year’s competition has a number of new categories including one dedicated to recognising the achievements of Lancashire firms during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Most Resilient Business of the Year which is sponsored by the University of Central Lancashire.
It also has prizes for Manufacturer of the Year, Small Business of the Year and Most Innovative Business of the Year, together with a lifetime achievement award, Lancastrian of the Year, will also be handed out to an individual who has achieved a lot during their career
