We recognise that the past 12 months has been tough on every business in Lancashire and this means the way we judge our awards will be different in 2021.
In previous years, we would have looked closely at a business’ balance sheet as a key factor in deciding the winners of our 18 awards, but when we do it this year we will take the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Chamber Chief Executive Babs Murphy said the categories would offer firms the opportunities to show how they have innovated their way through the pandemic.
We know businesses have had to pour their enthusiasm and innovation in to keeping their businesses going and their people safe.
It is this work which we will be focusing on for our awards and I would urge the amazing people behind companies across our county to come forward with their stories of the past 12 months.
